The Federal German Commissioner for the Russian Federation supported the idea of abolishing visas for young Russians.
Support at the highest level was expressed for the idea of the partial abolition of visas for young people just two weeks after the launch of the campaign, initiated by the “Vremya” movement .
On October 9, the new representative of the German government for cooperation with Russia, Dirk Wiese, proposed abolishing visas to European countries for young Russians.
“We must give a sign to the youth population of Russia. Therefore, I am in favor of giving Russians under 25 the opportunity to enter Europe without a visa, ”said Wiese in an interview with the Saarbrücker Zeitung, published last week.
